What's the difference in the Retrax power tonneau cover options?

There are a few versions of the Retrax electronic powered tonneau covers.

One Series: Made with polycarbonate which is a type of thermoplastic
Pro Series: Made with aluminum, this is considered an upgrade over the polycarbonate

MX Series: This is the standard tonneau cover, which is suitable for most people
XR Series: Compatible with most T-slot accessories, also has increased capacity above and below the tonneau cover

If you have accessories like kayak or bike racks, etc, and need use of T-slots, then the XR series is going to be your pick. For all others, the MX series will be suitable.

How does an electronic tonneau cover work?

An electronic tonneau cover makes it extremely easy to open and close your tonneau cover.

Your order will come with an electronic key fob that you can put on your keychain. The key fob will have a button that will open or close your tonneau cover electronically.

This is especially helpful in both convenience and saving time. When you park your pickup truck, you can immediately open your tonneau cover. By the time you get out of your truck and to the truck bed, your cover will already be open.

You can also close your tonneau cover as you are walking away.

It is especially convenient if your hands are full with tools or groceries - just press the button and your truck bed cover will open or close.

How much are power tonneau covers?

Electronic powered tonneau covers start at $2,199 and go up to $2,800. Electronic truck bed covers are far more expensive than manual tonneau covers, because it also includes electronics and motors.

The aluminum (Pro) series will be more expensive than the polycarbonate (One) series.
The XR (compatible with T-slots) will be more expensive than the standard MX model.

Are electronic tonneau covers available for my truck?

We only stock electronic tonneau covers for a small number of trucks. Typically, if you drive a newer model Silverado, Sierra, Tundra or F-150, we have an electronic tonneau cover available for you.

How quickly will my electronic tonneau cover be delivered?

All of our tonneau covers are in stock and ready to ship. Most orders will be shipped the same business day with deliveries made in 2-3 business days.

For extra large tonneau covers, such as most 8 foot truck beds, we may need to ship via truck freight. Truck freight orders can take anywhere from 2-5 business days.

Are electronic tonneau covers worth it?

Electronic tonneau covers are definitely worth it if you are willing to pay more. Electronic tonneau covers can cost up to twice as much as the manual tonneau cover, so they aren't cheap.

However, you can't argue against the convenience of tonneau covers. Once you try one, you may not ever want to go back to a manual truck bed cover!
