What is an emblem retainer?
An emblem retainer is a fastener that is used to secure a car's emblem to the body of the vehicle.
What can happen if an emblem retainer is faulty?
If an emblem retainer is faulty, the emblem will not be held securely to the vehicle and can become loose or even fall off. This can lead to damage to the vehicle’s body, paint or underlying structure.
How do you know if an emblem retainer is faulty?
If you can easily push the retainer into the vehicle's body, it could indicate that the retainer is faulty and needs to be replaced.
How do you replace an emblem retainer?
- Remove the old retainer from the vehicle's body.
- Clean the area where the retainer will be placed.
- Insert the new retainer into the hole.
- Secure the retainer using the provided screws, bolts or clips.
