What's the difference between swinging and sliding doors?

For the rear set of fender flares, we will need to know if your Ford E-Series van has swinging or sliding doors. The rear wheel well area has a different design for each of these, so the rear flare set is different.

When ordering, the fitment note will tell you which set is for the swinging doors, and which is for the sliding doors, so that you can order the correct set for your Ford van.

Do I need to drill into my Ford E-Series van to install these?

Yes, the Bushwacker Extend A Fender flare set does require drilling to install them. You will need a drill, a 7/64" drill bit, and a utility knife for easy installation.

Full instructions will be shipped with your order to make the installation process as easy as possible.

If you have extra large tires, some additional modifications may be required for your tire/rim combination to work with these flares. You may need to lower the bump stops or installing steering stops. More information can be found with the included installation instructions.

Yes, however it is not that common to paint Ford van fender flares. Most people keep these flares in the unpainted black color, which looks great on any Ford van.

These have a standard finish, which makes it easy for any local body shop to paint these flares. They will be able to color match it to your van. You will want to get paint quotes, but expect to pay around $300-350 to color match all 4 fender flares.

What are the dimensions of the Bushwacker Ford van fender flares?

The Bushwacker Extend-A-Fender flares for the Ford E-Series van have 3.75" of height and 2.25" of tire coverage.

The height is measured at the top of the flare. This means that it will cover any rust up to 3.75" from the edge of your wheel well.

Note: if you are covering up rust, you may need to do a non-standard and custom installation. This will be the case if your rust spots affect the standard mount point locations.

It will also provide up to 2.25" of additional tire coverage, which may be required to make your truck road legal.
