2) Remove the distributor cap and rotor.
3) Unscrew the screws that hold the contact set in place.
4) Pull the contact set out of the distributor.
5) Install the new contact set by reversing the steps above.
6) Reconnect the negative battery terminal.

How often should I inspect my ignition contact set?

It is recommended that you inspect your ignition contact set every 15,000-20,000 miles to ensure it is in good working condition. If you observe any signs of wear or corrosion, it should be replaced immediately.
