If your power steering reservoir is faulty, you may experience a variety of symptoms, including: reduced power steering response, loud noises or rattling coming from the power steering system, and/or fluid leaks.

Can a faulty power steering reservoir cause damage?

Yes, a faulty power steering reservoir can cause damage to other components in your power steering system, such as the pump and hoses.

How do I replace a power steering reservoir?

1) Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2) Drain the power steering fluid from the power steering reservoir.
3) Unbolt and remove the old power steering reservoir.
4) Install the new power steering reservoir.
5) Refill the power steering reservoir with fresh power steering fluid.
6) Reconnect the negative battery cable.

How often should I inspect my power steering reservoir?

You should inspect your power steering reservoir every six months or so, or whenever you change your power steering fluid. Make sure to check for fluid leaks and any visible signs of wear or damage.
