Are your fender flares available pre-painted?

We have a very limited selection of pre-painted fender flares. We used to sell a line of pre-painted fender flares, however due to supplier quality issues and cutting corners, we discontinued selling them. As part of our commitment to our customers, we did not feel comfortable selling that line of flares.

Can any set of fender flares be painted?

Any smooth set of flares can be painted. The vast majority of our fender flares are paintable. The only exception are textured fender flares, we do not recommend painting these. When ordering, our website will indicate either standard, smooth or textured. If you plan to paint your flares, you will want a standard or smooth set.

How do I paint my fender flares?

We highly recommend navigating to our full fender flare page for the best selection of flares.

Any local body shop will be able to paint your flares to match your truck or any color that you want. You will just need to take them to your body shop, drop them off for a few days, and then pick them up.

We'd also recommend having them install the flares for you, especially painted flares. The reason is that you may accidentally chip the paint when installing the flares. If the body shop is installing the flares it will be their responsibility.

How much does it cost to paint a set of fender flares?

The paint fee for most fender flares is $300 for a set of 4. This is in addition to the price of the flares itself.

We recommend getting multiple paint quotes, as pricing can vary greatly depending on many factors: paint shop availability, staffing, location, etc.

Painted flares are not cheap. Keep in mind that most people install their flares unpainted - the unpainted black looks great on any truck!

Should I paint fender flares?

This is up to your personal preference! Most people do not paint their fender flares. They will look great on ANY truck in the default unpainted black.

Some people love the custom painted look, whether they are painting to match their truck, or painting a secondary color to match a different trim color.

We think painted flares look great, too, but also really like the default unpainted black look.

Keep in mind that painting the flares will also add $300-400 in paint costs, which sometimes doubles the cost of the flares.

Can you wrap fender flares?

Yes, and this is a great option! If you have the patience to do it, many people learn how to wrap car parts themselves and can save on labor cost. Warning: it's not easy, especially if you don't have any patience!

Can I paint the flares myself?

We don't recommend it, unless you already have the equipment and have the experience.

Painting car parts is not easy: it takes specialized equipment, paint, and protection to make sure you aren't breathing or emitting paint fumes into the environment.

We highly recommend leaving it up to the professionals. Their paint booths are already fully equipped for your job, and they will likely do a better job and faster.
