Its block-type design, female insert O-ring fittings, and R134A-specific configuration make it a direct-service HVAC flow restrictor for the listed Chevrolet Astra and Suzuki Forenza fitments. The 39277 part number is also cross-referenced by UAC EX10177C for the same application.

Four Seasons Expansion Valve products are identified by application-specific fitment and OE-style dimensions, and this unit follows that approach with No. 10 suction inlet, No. 12 suction outlet, and No. 6 liquid inlet and outlet thread diameters. For 2004-2008 Chevrolet Astra and 2004-2008 Suzuki Forenza vehicles, this valve supports accurate refrigerant control in the factory-style A/C layout.

What This Part Helps Address

Erratic cabin cooling caused by improper refrigerant metering

Warm air from the vents when the evaporator is not receiving correct flow

A/C performance loss related to a worn or restricted expansion valve

System imbalance after HVAC service on R134A-equipped vehicles

Fitment issues when replacing the original block-style expansion valve

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle’s A/C system uses the same block-type layout, R134A refrigerant, and matching inlet and outlet connection sizes before installation. Inspect the mating surfaces and O-ring sealing areas carefully, and confirm the valve orientation matches the original part on the Chevrolet Astra or Suzuki Forenza application. Because this is a fitment-specific HVAC component, compare the original valve configuration to the part number 39277 before assembly.

Quality Assurance

This Four Seasons Expansion Valve is listed as meeting or exceeding OEM requirements.
