It is engineered to maintain proper chain stretch, reduce friction, and help prevent chain-to-sprocket slippage in demanding engine service work.

Key Features

OE system-based timing chain kit for coordinated component replacement

Includes timing chain, balance shaft chain, tensioners, guides, and balance shaft guides

Designed to support long operating life under heavy load conditions

Assembled to reduce unnecessary friction between kit components

SKF VKML73007NA supports complete timing service instead of piecemeal replacement

Detailed Description

The SKF VKML73007NA timing chain kit is intended for engine repair jobs that require a complete, matched replacement of the timing drive components. SKF builds the kit around OE system recommendations, which helps ensure the chain, tensioners, and guides are selected to work together rather than being sourced separately. That approach matters in timing service because component mismatch can affect chain control, wear, and sprocket engagement. This kit is a fitment-based solution for Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Compass, Jeep Renegade, Ram ProMaster City, Chrysler 200, and Dodge Dart applications listed below. The VKML73007NA part number is also referenced by cross-number applications such as Cloyes 9-0964SX and 3-1090SAX.

What It Helps Address

Timing chain noise from worn or stretched components

Chain slack caused by aging tensioners or guides

Uneven sprocket engagement from mismatched service parts

Wear in the balance shaft drive system

Repeat repairs caused by replacing only part of the timing set

Installation Notes and Tips

Use this kit as a complete timing service assembly and verify all engine codes, build dates, and OE service procedures before installation. Timing chain work requires precise alignment of the chain, guides, and tensioners, so follow factory timing marks and torque specifications during reassembly. Confirm vehicle application carefully for Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Compass, Jeep Renegade, Ram ProMaster City, Chrysler 200, and Dodge Dart coverage before ordering.

Quality Assurance

SKF states that its timing chain kits are assembled for long operating life and follow OE system recommendations for component replacement. The VKML73007NA is built as a coordinated kit rather than a mix of unrelated parts, which supports consistent timing system service.

Compatible Applications

Fits 2017-2021 Jeep Cherokee, N/A

Fits 2017-2021 Jeep Compass, N/A

Fits 2017-2021 Jeep Renegade, N/A

Fits 2016-2020 Ram ProMaster City, N/A

Fits 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, N/A

Fits 2014-2016 Dodge Dart, N/A
