What are the signs of a faulty steering column control switch?

- Headlights or turn signals will not turn on;
- The headlights or turn signals will not turn off;
- The windshield wipers will not turn on;
- The windshield wipers will not turn off;
- The cruise control will not work;
- Erratic operation of the headlights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and/or cruise control.

How do you replace a steering column control switch?
Replacing a steering column control switch involves the following steps:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable;
- Remove the upper and lower steering column covers;
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the switch;
- Remove the switch mounting screws;
- Install the new switch and reconnect the electrical connectors;
- Reinstall the lower and upper steering column covers;
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
