How do you replace a transmission switch?
Replacing a transmission switch requires some mechanical knowledge and experience. The following steps should be taken:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the transmission linkage from the shift lever.
- Remove the electrical connectors from the switch.
- Remove the switch from the transmission.
- Install the new switch and reconnect the electrical connectors.
- Reconnect the transmission linkage to the shift lever.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
