Injection-molded
The step and bumper protection is injection-molded out of resin. This makes it very strong and impact resistant. The base has a super-strong material that resists flexing, but the second is a soft impact-absorbing material that will flex and absorb impact from the bumpers.

The difference between this WeatherTech BumpStepXL and the regular WeatherTech BumpStep is that this one has 24 inches against the 12 inches for the regular one. This allows it to offer maximum protection against bumps.as compared to the BumpStep.

The BumpStepXL has a stainless steel theft deterrent 1/2" Allen Key bolt to help prevent theft of your BumpStepXL This theft deterrent is rust and corrosion resistant and so is the stainless nut, the flat washer, and the lock washer.
