Took foot off gas pedal, proceeded down the ramp, vehicle did not decrease speed, applied brake, motor continue to pull the vehicle, shut engine off to stop vehicle, due to steel cable inside the vinal covering had cut through the shield and held the cable fast, preventing the cable to release.

I noticed that the vehicles coolant level had been dropping over a period of severla weeks. After having it tested it was discovered that the lower intake manilfold had a slow leak and needed replaced. The vehicle had less than 70,000 miles on it and it seems very unusual for this to happen so soon.

Intake manifold leaking antifreeze onto the ground and into the environment. Known issue that GM refuses to address - affects all 3800cc engines prior to about 2004. Known defect. *nm
