2000 intrepid with a 2.7l engine seized up during driving 12/3/09. Auto center suggests this is an engine failure like so many other chrysler product of this type.

1999 dodge intrepid - 2.7 litre engine. Rpm's periodically dropped (like the engine was going to cut out), black smoke from tailpipe (signifying burning oil) while idling or upon takeoff from a dead stop. Engine seized 08/19/10 - no warnings whatsoever. Total failure - must replace it at a cost of $6000.

Im writing this letter wanting to know who should i talk to regarding the recalls on my 95' dodge intrepid as far as the fuel rail leak i have that can cause a fire and also the drivers side seat recall due to it breaking can u please help me! *nm
