Steering assist failure it seems that there have been problems and recalls with this steering issue however the dealership will not address the problem

With the key fob in the front seat, on the floor board, the doors were able to be locked. This resulted with my key fob being locked in the car., and i was left in the heat with frozen food after grocery shopping.

The car has stopped charging and will not operate in hybrid mode. FORD and the dealer have the parts are back order for over 4 months. The dealer is stating that they have 4 other vehicles with the same exact issue. This seems to be an emerging failure point on these cars.
