I got the car off of some guy for 1600 dollars and I put a lot of money into and I have lights on the dash still on and the ecs is one and my steering wheel light is on as will.

1) IGNITION SWITCH - yes 2) car wont turn off, key is stuck and wont allow to be turned off. this is dangerous for car to be left on. 3) yes - common problem with VW 4) yes by mechanic 5) no warnings, typically ignition needs jiggling to start and turn off ignition but this is the first time it has refused to budge.

This is a followup on my NHTSA complaint with odi 10660489. I would like to bring to your attention the NHTSA campaign id number 04v584000 which precisely describes the same problem i have encountered with my jetta. Please note that my jetta is also a 2002 model as noted in the above campaign.
