    Payed $13,000 for a motorcycle that does not respond appropriately...2nd gear at 5500 rpm. Motorcycle will not accelerate until a good time after i've accelerated. Continues to happen and will not be eliminated until ecu is corrected by yamaha! Could cost someone their life or limb if injured.

    Dt*: the contact stated while driving at various speeds extreme heat is felt from the exhaust pipe due to the lack of a heat shield on the left side. The vehicle was not inspected. The motorcycle is a 2005 yamaha r1. *ak updated 04/11/06. *jb
