Detailed Description

Akebono ACT956 is part of the ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad line, a product family centered on OE-style braking behavior and refined friction control. For drivers searching for front brake pads for a 2008-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, 2007-2010 Pontiac G5, or 2003-2007 Saturn Ion, this pad set provides a direct replacement option backed by Akebono’s brake engineering experience. This part cross-references Bosch BC956 for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Worn front brake pads on Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, Saturn Ion, or Pontiac Pursuit
• Brake noise during normal stop-and-go driving
• Uneven or reduced braking response from aged friction material
• Need for an OE-spec front disc brake pad replacement
• Service replacement for vehicles listed with ACT956 fitment

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify rotor condition, caliper operation, and pad fitment before installation. This ACT956 application includes a note for the 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuit: without abutment clips. Confirm the vehicle’s brake configuration against the fitment listing before ordering or installing.
