Product Details

ATE Original Brake Booster, Vacuum 300157 is built for the brake system on the 1999-2001 Saab 9-5. The vacuum booster helps multiply pedal force so the driver can achieve controlled braking with less effort. Its dual-diaphragm layout and metal housing support stable operation in stop-and-go traffic and during harder braking events. This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 4836656) for the same application.

Use this ATE brake booster when the original booster no longer maintains proper assist, when pedal effort has increased, or when brake response has become inconsistent. The ATE Original line focuses on OE-style replacement fit and manufacturing consistency, and 300157 follows that approach for Saab 9-5 brake service.

What It Helps Fix

• Hard brake pedal feel caused by loss of vacuum assist
• Reduced braking response at low pedal force
• Inconsistent pedal assist during normal driving
• Brake booster wear in aging Saab 9-5 brake systems
• Replacement needs after vacuum diaphragm or housing deterioration

Installation Notes

Fits 1999-2001 Saab 9-5. Verify the existing booster dimensions, pedal rod setup, and master cylinder interface before installation. Because the master cylinder, mounting hardware, and mounting bracket are not included, transfer or source the required related components as needed for the repair. Confirm vacuum line condition and inspect the brake system for leaks before returning the vehicle to service.

Quality Assurance

ATE Original brake boosters are manufactured to OE-quality standards with high-grade materials and careful workmanship to support reliable brake assist and long service life. Part Number 300157 is built for consistent replacement performance on Saab 9-5 brake applications.
