ATE 650305 Parking Brake Shoe Set

ATE Original Parking Brake Shoe Set

ATE Original Brake Shoe Set, Parking, part number 650305, is built for BMW parking brake applications that need stable holding performance and corrosion resistance. The semi-metallic friction material and integrally molded attachment support consistent contact, while the powder-coated shoe construction helps resist rust in demanding conditions.

For BMW 3 Series, 4 Series, M3, M4, X1, and related models, this parking brake shoe set is a direct-fit service part for the drum-in-hat parking brake system used on many rear brake assemblies. ATE 650305 is engineered for applications where durable shoe material and secure bonding matter.

Key Features

• Semi-metallic friction material for parking brake service
• Integrally molded friction material attachment
• Powder-coated shoe construction for improved corrosion resistance
• Sealed adhesive joints and full-surface bonding to help resist rust intrusion
• Brake shoe width: 20 mm
• FMSI number: 1563-S831
• Part number: 650305

Product Details

ATE’s Original Brake Shoe Set, Parking line focuses on corrosion control and bond strength. The shoe material is attached across the full surface, and the sealed joints help maintain structural integrity under repeated parking brake use. ATE also references salt spray testing to verify corrosion resistance in drum brake shoe applications. This part cross-references Bosch (e.g., 0 986 487 607) for the same application.

What This Part Helps Address

• Parking brake holding issues caused by worn shoe lining
• Rust-related deterioration in the rear parking brake assembly
• Uneven parking brake engagement from degraded friction material
• Noisy or inconsistent parking brake operation from aged shoes
• Service replacement needs on BMW rear drum-in-hat parking brake systems

Installation Notes and Fitment

Installation hardware is not included. Inspect the parking brake drum surface, backing plate contact points, and related rear brake components before installation. Clean corrosion from the assembly and verify proper shoe adjustment after service.
