Detailed Description

ATE Original Brake Shoe Set, Parking is engineered for the parking brake drum system used on a wide range of BMW vehicles, including X5, X6, 5 Series GT, 7 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, X3, Z4, M3, M5, and M6 models. The shoe design focuses on durability, with powder coating to resist corrosion and a bonded friction surface that covers the full contact area. Sealed adhesive joints add shear strength and help maintain a stable bond under service conditions. The part number 650419 is a direct reference for buyers searching for OE-style BMW parking brake shoes.

What It Helps Solve

• Parking brake drag caused by worn friction material
• Reduced holding power in the parking brake drum
• Corrosion on brake shoe surfaces and backing components
• Uneven parking brake engagement from degraded shoe bonding
• Noise or inconsistent operation from aged BMW parking brake shoes

Installation Notes and Tips

Inspect the parking brake drum, hardware contact points, and actuator components before installation. Clean the backing plate and drum surfaces thoroughly so the new shoes seat evenly. Because mounting hardware is not included, reuse or replace related service parts as needed during brake service. Verify fitment by year, make, and model before ordering, especially on BMW X5, BMW X6, and 7 Series applications.

Quality Assurance

ATE uses corrosion testing, including salt spray evaluation, to verify resistance on drum brake shoe applications. The powder-coated finish, full-surface bonded lining, and sealed adhesive joints are part of the product’s durability-focused construction for long-term parking brake service.
