Product Details

BBB Industries Reman Caliper w/ Installation Hardware line focuses on service-ready brake hydraulics built for direct replacement applications. Part number 99-17787A includes a bracket and brake pad installation hardware where applicable, along with a banjo bolt and copper crush washers where applicable. The caliper is finished in gray with a rust preventative coating and uses a plug-style inlet fitting for the specified Ram ProMaster rear left brake setup.

This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.

Common Brake Issues Addressed

• Sticking or seized rear caliper movement
• Uneven rear brake pad wear
• Brake fluid leakage at the caliper body or bleeder area
• Corrosion on the caliper housing or piston area
• Reduced braking performance from a worn hydraulic caliper

Installation Notes

Verify rear left position, inlet thread size, and bleeder screw specification before installation. Transfer or replace brake pads as needed, and bleed the hydraulic system after installation to remove air from the brake circuit. Confirm bracket and slide operation before returning the vehicle to service. For Ram ProMaster 1500, ProMaster 2500, and ProMaster 3500 applications, match the caliper to the vehicle’s rear disc brake configuration and existing mounting points.
