Common Reasons for Replacement

• Parking brake does not hold the vehicle securely
• Rear brake shoe lining is worn, glazed, or uneven
• Reduced parking brake engagement after service
• Noise or drag from worn rear parking brake components
• Need to restore OE-style rear brake operation on listed vans and trucks

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify rear brake size and vehicle configuration before installation, especially on Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana models with 8.07" x 1.73" brakes. Confirm the application notes for GVW, dual rear wheels, or single rear wheel configurations where listed. Inspect the parking brake hardware, levers, and contact surfaces during service so the new shoes seat correctly and operate evenly.
