• Uneven braking feel from aging rear pads
• Service needs on copper-free brake applications
• Brake maintenance on late-model BMW rear disc systems

Installation Notes

Verify rear axle fitment by year, model, and drivetrain before installation. Inspect rotors, caliper hardware, and guide components during service, and clean all mating surfaces before fitting the pads. Use the supplied brake lubricant where specified and follow the vehicle service procedure for bedding-in new pads.

Quality Assurance

Bendix Friction validates this pad set through vehicle testing to support performance that meets or exceeds industry standards. The OE-style multi-layer shim design is used to help control noise, while the copper-free ceramic formulation supports compliance with North American copper-free brake requirements. This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.
