Detailed Product Description

As an ABS wheel speed sensor, this Bosch unit monitors front wheel speed and sends that information to the anti-lock braking system. Accurate wheel speed input is essential for ABS operation, especially on BMW platforms where front sensor performance affects system response and fault detection. Bosch 0986594015 is listed for multiple BMW 3 Series and Z3 front applications, making it a practical replacement when servicing the brake sensor circuit.

Compatible With 1992-2002 BMW front applications including Z3, 318ti, 323i, 323is, 328i, 328is, M3, 318i, 318is, 325i, and 325is. Use this part number 0986594015 when matching the sensor to the vehicle’s front ABS location and OE-style fitment requirements.

What This Sensor Helps Address

• ABS warning light triggered by a failed front wheel speed sensor
• Loss of wheel speed signal at the front axle
• Erratic ABS system behavior during braking
• Fault codes related to front sensor input
• Brake system diagnostics pointing to sensor circuit issues

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle’s front sensor location, connector style, and OE part number before installation. Inspect the wheel hub area, wiring path, and connector terminals for damage or corrosion while replacing the sensor. On BMW Z3 and BMW 3 Series applications, confirm the sensor routing matches the original layout to avoid strain or interference.

For best results, clear stored ABS fault codes after installation and road test the vehicle to confirm the warning light remains off. Always compare the removed sensor to Bosch 0986594015 before final installation.
