If the original pulley fit became loose during removal, replace the pulley rather than reuse it. For warranty-related installation requirements on listed applications, use OE fluid, install an in-line filter where noted, and flush the system to remove contamination before startup.

If steering assist is only present at higher engine speed, inspect the flow control valve area for debris and verify the system is clean. If hard steering remains in one direction after installation, the issue may be in the steering gear rather than the pump.
