Installation Notes

The transfer case must be manually shifted into the 2 wheel drive position before installing the replacement motor. The replacement motor drive is factory-set in the 2 wheel drive position, and it should not be operated while removed from the transfer case because that can damage the unit and trigger an error code. A crescent wrench can be used for this operation. If the drive position differs before installation, reposition it only as directed by the service procedure.
