Product Details

Cardone’s Windshield Wiper Motor line is built from decades of remanufacturing and reverse-engineering experience, then refined as a new replacement design. For Mini Cooper owners searching for a front windshield wiper motor replacement, the 85-2124 is designed to address common wear points in the motor gear set while maintaining the torque needed for steady wiper movement. This part cross-references Mini OE numbers 61617138789 and 61618229128 for the same application.

Common Problems This Part Can Help Resolve

• Inoperative front windshield wipers
• Slow or inconsistent wiper movement
• Wipers stopping mid-sweep
• Parking misalignment caused by worn motor components or crank arm position
• Noise from worn or stripped internal gears

Installation Notes and Tips

Before replacing the motor, bench test the wiper motor and washer pump if the vehicle uses a washer-pump interlock, since a faulty washer pump can prevent motor operation on some systems. If the wipers do not park correctly and the vehicle does not use hidden wiper blades, check crank arm position on the motor shaft and reset it according to the vehicle service procedure. Confirm the original connector style and mounting layout before installation.
