Detailed Description

The Cardone 85-4465 is a new windshield wiper motor engineered as an improved replacement for the original design. It is built for front wiper systems on vehicles such as the 2006-2011 Hyundai Accent, 2007-2010 Kia Optima, and 2007-2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, with fitment also covering additional Hyundai, Kia, and Dodge applications listed below. The motor is supplied without a washer pump, so the existing washer pump must be retained or replaced separately as needed.

This part cross-references Hyundai 981101G000 and Kia 981101G000 for the same application. The Cardone 85-4465 is designed for drivers replacing a worn or inoperative front windshield wiper motor on select Hyundai Genesis Coupe and Kia Rio platforms, as well as related fitments.

What It Helps Fix

• Front wipers that do not move
• Intermittent or slow wiper motor operation
• Wipers stopping in the middle of the windshield
• Noise from worn internal gears or linkage load
• Parking misalignment after motor replacement or linkage service

Installation Notes and Tips

Fits 2011-2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, front; 2006-2011 Dodge Attitude, front; 2006-2011 Hyundai Accent, front; 2006-2011 Kia Rio, front; 2006-2011 Kia Rio5, front; 2007-2010 Kia Magentis, front; 2007-2010 Kia Optima, front; and 2007-2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, front. Confirm the vehicle uses the listed front wiper motor configuration before installation.

If the wipers park in the wrong position after installation, check the crank arm position on the motor shaft and reset it according to the vehicle service procedure. If the vehicle uses a moisture-sensitive wiper system, verify the rain sensor and control module operation before replacing the motor. Also bench test the wiper motor and washer pump together, since some systems will not operate if the washer pump has failed.

Quality Assurance

Cardone builds this new wiper motor using reverse-engineering experience from remanufactured wiper motor development, then refines the design with stronger gear materials and load testing for dependable operation. The result is a front windshield wiper motor intended for long-term service in the listed Hyundai, Kia, and Dodge applications.
