Detailed Description

This Carlson 15270 brake service kit is built for front disc brake caliper repair on Volvo S60, Volvo V70, Volvo XC70, and Volvo S80 models equipped with Disc D794 calipers. The included seals help the caliper maintain hydraulic integrity and return smoothly after brake application, which is critical for consistent pedal feel and even brake operation. This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts 172286 for the same application.

Common Repair Uses

• Leaking caliper seals
• Sticking or slow-return caliper pistons
• Brake drag caused by worn sealing components
• Loss of proper caliper apply and release action
• Front brake service on Disc D794 calipers

Installation Notes

Confirm caliper identification before ordering and match the vehicle to the listed front fitment. Clean the caliper thoroughly during service, inspect the piston and bore for wear or corrosion, and replace damaged sealing surfaces before reassembly. Follow factory brake service procedures and bleed the hydraulic system after installation.

Quality Assurance

Carlson designs brake service components as part of the caliper system, with sealing parts selected to help the caliper operate as intended through the apply and release cycle.
