Delphi TS10544 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor for BMW and Mini

Delphi TS10544 is an engine coolant temperature sensor built for direct-fit replacement on a wide range of BMW and Mini applications. It uses a 2-terminal blade design with a single rectangular female connector and push-on mounting for a straightforward service replacement.

With OE heritage built into the design, this Delphi coolant temperature sensor supports accurate engine temperature reporting for vehicles such as the BMW 328i, BMW X5, and Mini Cooper. The TS10544 is a practical choice when replacing a faulty engine coolant temperature sensor on lower radiator hose applications.

Key Features

• Delphi TS10544 engine coolant temperature sensor
• 2 blade terminals with 1 rectangular female connector
• Push-on mounting style for service replacement
• Wiring harness not included
• Package includes the sensor and instruction sheet
• OE-based engineering backed by Delphi’s long supplier history

Detailed Description

Delphi TS10544 is designed for BMW and Mini cooling system applications that use an engine coolant temperature sensor in the lower radiator hose, with select fitments noted in the upper radiator hose. This part number is commonly searched as a replacement coolant temp sensor for BMW 525i, BMW 750i, BMW M5, BMW X6, and Mini Cooper models. Delphi’s OE experience is reflected in the sensor’s connector layout, terminal design, and application-specific fitment.

This part cross-references Standard Ignition TX128 for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Incorrect coolant temperature readings on the dash or scan tool
• Hard starting or rough running related to temperature signal errors
• Cooling fan operation triggered by faulty temperature input
• Check engine light conditions tied to coolant temperature sensor faults
• Driveability issues caused by inaccurate engine temperature data

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the sensor location before installation, as most listed applications place the sensor in the lower radiator hose and one fitment notes an upper radiator hose location. Confirm the connector shape, terminal count, and mounting style match the original part before service. Always inspect the cooling system condition and replace damaged seals or connectors as needed during repair.

Quality Assurance

Delphi builds this replacement sensor using OE-focused engineering informed by more than a century of original-equipment experience and supplier knowledge from major automakers. That background helps support consistent fit, function, and application-specific performance for BMW and Mini cooling system repairs.
