Detailed Description

Denso 143-3355 is an engine air filter engineered for vehicles that use a rectangular OE-style airbox layout. The listed dimensions and shape help ensure the filter seats correctly in the housing, supporting consistent airflow through the intake system while capturing airborne contaminants before they reach the engine. This makes it a practical replacement choice for routine maintenance on the Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, Mercury Mariner, Ford Taurus, and Mercury Sable.

The First Time Fit Air Filter line is positioned around accurate fitment and quality control, reflecting Denso’s experience as an OEM supplier in filtration components. This part cross-references FRAM CA8997 for the same application.

What This Air Filter Helps Address

• Restricted airflow caused by a dirty or clogged engine air filter
• Dust and debris entering the intake system
• Reduced filtration performance during scheduled maintenance
• Poor filter seating from incorrect dimensions or shape
• Replacement needs for OE-style air filter service on listed Ford, Mazda, and Mercury models

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the air filter housing dimensions before installation and compare the old filter to the new one for shape and size. Confirm the vehicle year and model against the fitment list, especially on Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, and Mercury Mariner applications where multiple model years are covered. Inspect the airbox sealing surfaces and replace the filter only after the housing is clean and free of debris.
