Detailed Description

Dorman 1591036 is built as an OE-style replacement headlight assembly for the right side of select Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, and Pontiac G4 vehicles. The clear-lens design, halogen bulb setup, and plastic housing help restore proper forward lighting and maintain the original appearance expected from a factory-style repair. Dorman 1591036 is a practical choice when the original headlamp is damaged, faded, or no longer performing as intended.

This part cross-references Eagle Eye GM364-B131R and OE number 15279753 for the same application.

Common Repair Uses

• Restores dim, cloudy, or damaged right headlight output
• Replaces a cracked or broken headlamp housing
• Addresses moisture intrusion caused by a compromised lens or housing
• Returns proper road lighting after collision damage
• Replaces a worn OE lamp on Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle year, model, and right-side position before installation. Confirm bulb type and connector condition during replacement, and inspect the surrounding mounting points for damage from prior impact or heat exposure. For vehicles listed with smoked outer lens notes, match the existing lamp style to the application before ordering.

Quality Assurance

Dorman engineers this replacement headlight to match the original lamp’s fit and function on the listed vehicles. It is a street-legal exterior lighting component intended to restore factory-style performance on the specified Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, and Pontiac G4 applications.
