Detailed Description

Dorman 56632 is a replacement door mirror glass for the left side on select Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, Passat, and Cabrio models. It is shaped for specific applications rather than universal use, helping ensure the glass matches the original mirror assembly on the correct year, make, model, and trim configuration. This part cross-references Bosch 67743 for the same application.

Use this mirror glass when the original left mirror lens is cracked, missing, or no longer providing a clear rearward view. The heated design supports visibility in colder conditions, while the snap-on mounting style and backing plate simplify replacement on vehicles equipped with manual mirror adjustment.

Common Problems This Part Can Solve

• Cracked or broken left side mirror glass
• Loss of rear visibility from a damaged mirror lens
• Heated mirror function failure caused by a damaged glass assembly
• Loose or missing mirror glass on the driver-side door mirror
• Need for a direct replacement on specific Volkswagen Jetta, Golf, Passat, or Cabrio applications

Installation Notes and Tips

• Verify the vehicle’s year, make, model, and left-side mirror configuration before ordering.
• Check the 8th digit of the VIN where noted in the fitment data for certain Jetta and Golf applications.
• Confirm manual mirror adjustment and heated mirror requirements match the vehicle.
• Inspect the mirror housing and electrical connector condition before installing the new glass.
• Follow the vehicle service procedure for snap-on mirror glass replacement to avoid damaging the backing plate or housing.
