Detailed Description

Dorman 91015 is engineered to match the original tailgate handle used on specific Ram truck applications. The chrome exterior and key lock hole align with the factory configuration on listed vehicles, making this a practical replacement when the original handle is worn, damaged, or no longer operating smoothly. This part cross-references 68044904ABCH for the same application.

Use this tailgate handle on 2011-2012 Ram 1500, Ram 2500, and Ram 3500 models, as well as 2009-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks, when the vehicle is equipped with the matching chrome handle and backup camera setup. The Dorman 91015 part number is also a useful reference when verifying the correct replacement before ordering.

What It Helps Fix

• Broken or cracked tailgate handle assembly
• Worn handle that no longer opens the tailgate cleanly
• Missing or damaged chrome exterior handle
• Handle replacement needs on trucks with a factory keyhole
• Restoration of proper tailgate release operation

Installation Notes and Tips

Confirm the vehicle has the listed chrome handle configuration, backup camera, and keyhole before installation. Compare the original handle shape, finish, and lock opening to Dorman 91015 and verify the part number 91015 against the existing component. Because this is a tailgate handle only, reuse or source any additional vehicle-specific components separately if needed.

Quality Assurance

Dorman manufactures this replacement handle to quality standards using durable materials for long-term reliability. The design is intended to provide the fit and function expected from the original tailgate handle on the listed Ram and Dodge Ram applications.
