This Dorman 92053 transmitter cover is intended for GM vehicles that use a 5-button key fob layout. The cover is sized at 2.6 inches long, 1.6 inches wide, and 0.52 inches deep, with materials that combine metal, plastic, and rubber for the outer housing and button interface.

For Cadillac XT4, XT5, XT6, and XTS applications, the Dorman 92053 provides a straightforward way to replace the transmitter shell while retaining the vehicle’s existing keyless entry functions. The part number 92053 is a useful reference when matching the correct GM-style transmitter cover for these model years.

Common Reasons to Replace

• Cracked or broken key fob case
• Worn button surfaces or faded exterior appearance
• Damaged housing around the transmitter shell
• Need to restore the original look of a GM keyless entry remote
• Replacement after cosmetic wear on a Cadillac XT4, XT5, XT6, or XTS fob

Installation Notes and Tips

Transfer the existing electronics and battery from the original transmitter into the new cover unless your application requires otherwise. Verify button alignment before closing the case, and confirm that the blank key and decorative side trim are seated correctly. Because this is a transmitter cover, proper fit depends on matching the GM 5-button configuration and the listed Cadillac application.
