Detailed Description

Dorman 955-1009 is a right door mirror assembly engineered to match the original mirror on the 2008-2009 Toyota Prius. It uses electric adjustment and a powered mirror design, with no heat, no blind spot indicator, no turn signal indicator, and no automatic dimming. The housing is black and paintable, allowing it to be finished to match the vehicle exterior. This part cross-references TYC 5400031 for the same application.

Because this is a specific-fit replacement, it is intended for the listed Prius model years and right-side position only. The OE-style construction helps restore normal rearward visibility and mirror control when the original assembly is damaged, worn, or no longer operating correctly. Part number 955-1009 is the identifier to use when confirming the correct replacement.

Common Uses

• Replacing a broken or cracked right-side mirror housing
• Restoring electric mirror adjustment on a Prius
• Replacing a mirror with damaged mounting points or bracket
• Correcting visibility issues caused by a missing or non-functioning mirror assembly
• Restoring the original fold-away mirror function

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle is a 2008-2009 Toyota Prius with a right-side power mirror and no heat before ordering. This assembly attaches with screws and uses 3 mounting holes. Mounting hardware is not included, so reuse or source the required fasteners as needed. Confirm connector and trim alignment before final installation, and paint the housing only after test-fitting if a color match is desired.

Quality Assurance

Dorman designs this mirror assembly to follow the original equipment layout for the specified Prius application, including the same general mirror glass, housing, bracket, and operating features found on the factory part. The part number 955-1009 is listed for direct application matching on the 2008-2009 Toyota Prius, right side.
