Detailed Description

Dorman C660351 is a parking brake cable designed for direct replacement on 1997 Ford Crown Victoria, 1997 Ford Grand Marquis, 1997 Lincoln Town Car, and 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis front applications. The cable length measures 38.07 in, with a 20.47 conduit length, and the rubber outer sleeve helps protect the cable during normal brake system operation. This part cross-references Raybestos Brakes BC95465 for the same application.

As a specific-fit brake hardware component, C660351 is built for owners and technicians replacing a worn, stretched, or corroded parking brake cable on these vehicles. The black jacket and corrosion-resistant materials support long-term durability in a demanding underbody environment.

What This Part Helps Address

• Parking brake that does not hold the vehicle securely
• Stretched or seized parking brake cable
• Corrosion damage on the original cable
• Uneven or inconsistent parking brake engagement
• Brake lever travel that feels excessive

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify vehicle application before installation by matching the year, make, model, and front position. Inspect related parking brake hardware, cable routing points, and attachment locations for wear or corrosion before installing the new cable. Because mounting hardware is not included, reuse or source the required hardware separately if needed. Confirm proper cable movement and parking brake operation after installation.

Quality Assurance

Dorman engineers and tests this cable to match original equipment fit and function on the listed vehicles. The corrosion-resistant design and durable materials are selected to support dependable brake system service. Part number C660351 is a direct reference for ordering and fitment verification.
