Detailed Product Overview

Dorman C660403 is a rear left parking brake cable designed for Nissan Sentra models from 2000 through 2006. It is built as a direct replacement for the original brake cable, with a specific fit that supports correct routing, engagement, and release of the parking brake system. The rubber outer sleeve and corrosion-resistant materials help protect the cable in everyday driving conditions, while the included conduit supports stable installation and cable movement. This part cross-references Raybestos Brakes BC96972 for the same application.

For buyers searching for a 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra rear left parking brake cable, C660403 provides a vehicle-specific solution that aligns with OE-style dimensions and mounting points. The part number C660403 is also useful when verifying replacement needs against interchange references such as 26152, 365315M000, and BC143333.

Common Issues This Cable Can Address

• Parking brake does not hold the vehicle securely when applied
• Brake cable binding or restricted movement from wear or corrosion
• Frayed, stretched, or damaged rear parking brake cable
• Uneven parking brake engagement on the rear left side
• Loss of proper cable routing or protection at the conduit

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify rear left placement before installation and compare the old cable length to the new part. Inspect the parking brake lever, equalizer, and related hardware for wear before final assembly. Because mounting hardware is not included, reuse or replace any required fasteners as needed during service. Confirm that the cable routes cleanly through the chassis and moves freely after installation.

Quality Assurance

Dorman engineers and tests this cable to match original brake cable fit, function, and performance on specific vehicles. The corrosion-resistant design and durable materials are selected to support long-term service in parking brake applications.
