Detailed Description

Dorman C660485 is a parking brake cable designed for rear left and rear right positions on the 2003-2008 Saab 9-3. It is built as a specific-fit replacement, making it a practical choice when restoring parking brake operation on Saab 9-3 vehicles that need an OE-style cable with the correct length and routing. This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.

The cable uses a rubber outer sleeve and a black jacket to help protect the assembly during normal underbody exposure. With conduit included and a corrosion-resistant design, this Dorman parking brake cable supports consistent parking brake engagement and release on the Saab 9-3 platform. Part number C660485 is also a useful reference when comparing replacement options for the same rear parking brake cable application.

What It Helps Fix

• Parking brake that will not hold the vehicle securely
• Sticking or slow-return parking brake cable movement
• Broken, frayed, or corroded rear parking brake cable
• Uneven parking brake engagement at the rear wheels
• Loss of proper cable tension on Saab 9-3 rear brake service

Installation Notes and Tips

Compatible with 2003-2008 Saab 9-3 rear left and rear right positions. Verify cable routing, attachment points, and overall length before installation. Because mounting hardware is not included, reuse or source the required hardware as needed during service. Confirm the existing cable path and parking brake adjustment after installation to restore proper operation.

Quality Assurance

Dorman engineers and tests this parking brake cable to match original equipment fit, function, and performance on the listed vehicles. The corrosion-resistant construction and durable materials are intended to support long-term service in underbody brake applications. Part number C660485 is built for specific-fit replacement use on the Saab 9-3 platform.
