Detailed Description

This parking brake cable is designed for 1994-1999 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 front positions, making it a practical replacement when the original cable is worn, stretched, or damaged. The Dorman C94690 uses durable materials and a corrosion-resistant design to help maintain consistent parking brake operation over time. Common Repair Uses

  • Parking brake does not hold the vehicle securely
  • Brake cable is frayed, seized, or corroded
  • Parking brake lever has excessive travel
  • Uneven or inconsistent rear brake engagement from cable wear
  • Restoring proper parking brake function on Dodge Ram 1500, Ram 2500, or Ram 3500 trucks

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle’s year, model, and front-position fitment before installation. Inspect cable routing, attachment points, and related parking brake hardware for wear or corrosion during replacement. Because mounting hardware is not included, reuse or source the required hardware as needed for the repair.
