Detailed Description

This Dorman brake hose is made for Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Cherokee, and Wagoneer brake service where the original hydraulic hose needs replacement. The EPDM rubber hose and treated steel ends are specified to support a proper OE-style fit at the front left or front right wheel positions, depending on the vehicle application. Dorman H38159 is a practical choice when servicing a leaking, cracked, or aging brake hose on a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Cherokee, or Wagoneer.

This part cross-references Centric Parts 150.67018 for the same application. It also cross-references Sunsong 2203063 for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Brake fluid seepage from a worn or damaged hydraulic hose
• Cracking or hardening in an aging rubber brake line
• Restricted brake fluid flow caused by hose deterioration
• Loss of braking response at the front wheel circuit
• Service replacement for a corroded or fatigued hose end connection

Installation Notes

Verify front left or front right position before installation, and confirm the vehicle is not equipped with the excluded Wide-Trac configuration where noted. Inspect the mating brake components, replace worn gaskets as needed, and bleed the brake system after installation to remove air from the hydraulic circuit. Confirm hose routing and clearance so the line does not twist, stretch, or contact moving suspension parts.

Quality Assurance

Dorman engineers this brake hydraulic hose to match the original part’s fit and function on the listed Jeep applications. The design uses application-specific dimensions and materials to support long-lasting brake system service.
