Detailed Description

This Facet back up light switch, part number 7.6115, is used to restore reverse light function when the original switch fails, becomes intermittent, or no longer signals the transmission to activate the backup lamps. It is listed for Nissan Frontier, Nissan Xterra, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan 240SX, Nissan Pickup, Nissan 300ZX, Nissan D21, and Nissan 200SX applications across the model years shown, including 2008-2016 Nissan Frontier and 2000-2004 Nissan Xterra.

Use this switch when troubleshooting reverse lights that stay off, work only sometimes, or illuminate incorrectly after transmission service. The fitment data includes specific notes for 2007 Nissan Frontier from 02/2007 and 1990 Nissan 300ZX from 05/1990, so matching the exact vehicle build date matters. This part number 7.6115 should be verified against the vehicle’s transmission and catalog listing before installation.

Common Repair Symptoms

• Reverse lights do not turn on when shifting into reverse
• Backup lamps work intermittently
• Reverse light circuit remains inoperative after transmission repair
• Transmission switch shows wear, contamination, or electrical failure
• Vehicle fails inspection due to non-functioning reverse lights

Installation Notes

Confirm the vehicle year, model, and build-date notes before ordering, especially for 2007 Frontier and 1990 300ZX applications. Inspect the connector, wiring, and transmission case area during replacement, and verify reverse lamp operation after installation. Because this is an electrical switch, clean mating surfaces and check for damaged terminals before final testing.

Quality Assurance

Facet is an established name in electrical and engine management components, and 7.6115 is cataloged as a back up light switch for the listed Nissan applications. This part cross-references Standard Motor Products (e.g., NS-67) for the same application.
