Detailed Description

GBR 8-084 is built for injector reseal service on Lexus GDI engines. When a fuel injector is removed, replacing the sealing components is standard service practice to help restore proper sealing at the injector and combustion seal interface. This kit provides the seals and o-rings needed for that repair on supported Lexus models, including 2018-2023 Lexus IS300 and RC300, 2018-2021 Lexus NX300, 2018-2019 Lexus GS300, 2016-2017 Lexus GS200t and IS200t, 2015-2017 Lexus NX200t, and 2016-2017 Lexus RC200t. Use GB tool kit GBTK-001 or an equivalent tool for proper combustion seal installation.

Common Repair Uses

• Fuel injector seal leakage after injector removal
• Hard starting or rough idle related to injector sealing issues
• Fuel odor or seepage around the injector area
• Loss of proper combustion seal at the injector tip
• Service replacement for worn or damaged injector o-rings and seals

Installation Notes and Tips

Inspect the injector and sealing surfaces before installation. Replace the injector seals any time the injector is removed, and use GB tool kit GBTK-001 or an equivalent installer for correct combustion seal installation. Clean the injector bore and follow the vehicle service procedure for the specific Lexus engine application.
