HVAC Blower Motor Resistor for Manual AC Systems

Restore proper blower fan operation with this Global Parts HVAC blower motor resistor, part number 1712195. It is built for vehicles with manual A/C controls and is used in HVAC systems where the ECM or control circuit manages compressor and blower-related functions.

• HVAC blower motor resistor for manual AC applications
• Supports blower speed control in the cabin HVAC system
• Direct replacement style for select Ram, Dodge, Mitsubishi, Scion, and Toyota vehicles
• Cross-references Dorman OE Solutions 973-160 and Mopar 68048900AA for the same application
• Global Parts part number 1712195

Detailed Fitment and Function

This blower motor resistor is designed for select 2000-2013 vehicles, including Ram 1500, Ram 2500, Ram 3500, Ram 4000, Dodge Ram 1500, Dodge Ram 2500, Dodge Ram 3500, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Scion xA, Scion xB, and Toyota Echo. It is a practical replacement when the HVAC blower only works on certain speeds or stops responding as expected. Part number 1712195 is a fitment-specific component, so matching the vehicle year and manual AC configuration is important.

Common Issues This Part May Address

• Blower fan works on only one speed
• Intermittent cabin air flow from the vents
• No blower operation at selected fan settings
• Loss of HVAC fan speed control in manual AC systems
• Electrical resistance failure in the blower circuit

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle uses manual A/C controls before ordering. Compare the original resistor connector, mounting style, and application details to confirm a proper match for your Ram, Dodge Ram, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Scion xA, Scion xB, or Toyota Echo. Always inspect the blower motor and related wiring for heat damage or corrosion before installing the replacement.

Quality Assurance

Global Parts supplies application-specific HVAC components engineered for modern and earlier vehicle control strategies, including systems where the ECM manages A/C operation and older designs that directly switch compressor functions.
