Global Parts 1712225 HVAC Blower Motor Resistor

HVAC Blower Motor Resistor for Hyundai and Kia

Global Parts 1712225 is an HVAC blower motor resistor for select Hyundai and Kia vehicles with automatic climate control systems. It is used in applications where the HVAC system needs a resistor to manage blower motor speed and support proper A/C operation.

Key Features

• HVAC blower motor resistor for select Hyundai and Kia applications
• Supports blower speed control in automatic climate control systems
• Direct replacement style for common OE cross-reference applications
• Fits vehicles including Hyundai Sonata, Tucson, Veracruz, Genesis, and Kia Sorento
• Part number 1712225 for catalog and fitment lookup

Detailed Description

Global Parts 1712225 is built for vehicles that use a blower motor resistor to regulate cabin fan operation and climate control performance. In modern HVAC systems, the control strategy works with the vehicle electronics to manage A/C and blower functions, while earlier systems may use the resistor to directly control compressor or fan behavior. This part cross-references Dorman OE Solutions 973-265 and Four Seasons 20365 for the same application.

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the original part number and HVAC configuration before installation. Confirm the vehicle uses the listed automatic climate control or blower resistor application, especially on Hyundai Sonata, Tucson, Veracruz, Genesis, and Kia Magentis models. Inspect the connector and surrounding HVAC housing for heat damage or corrosion before replacing the resistor.
