Detailed Description

Hitachi ABS1401 is engineered for vehicles that rely on precise wheel-speed data to support ABS operation and brake system performance. The sensor line uses quality materials and OE-level dimensional standards to match the exact needs of the vehicle application. This part cross-references 1H0927808 and 131401 for the same application. Compatible fitment includes 1998-2010 Volkswagen Beetle, front right; 1995-2006 Volkswagen Golf, front right; 2007-2010 Volkswagen Golf City, front right; 2007-2009 Volkswagen Jetta City, front right; 2000-2006 Audi TT, front right; and 2000-2006 Audi TT Quattro, front right.

What This Part Helps Address

• ABS warning light caused by a faulty front right wheel speed sensor
• Erratic or missing wheel-speed signal input
• ABS system faults related to sensor wear or contamination
• Brake control issues tied to inaccurate wheel-speed readings
• Fitment problems when replacing an OE-style sensor on Volkswagen or Audi models

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify the vehicle year, model, and front right position before ordering. Some applications have VIN-specific coverage, including the 2005 Volkswagen Jetta to VIN 9M-5-149 999, and the 1995 Volkswagen Corrado with harness. Inspect the sensor mounting area, connector, and tone ring or wheel-speed target before installation. Confirm the replacement matches the original connector style and routing on the vehicle.

Quality Assurance

Hitachi positions this sensor line as an OE-tolerance replacement built from quality materials for reliable measurement and consistent performance. ABS1401 is made to the manufacturer’s application standards for the listed Volkswagen and Audi fitments.
