Detailed Description

The Hitachi ABS1414 is a replacement wheel speed sensor for vehicles that rely on precise ABS input for braking control and related stability functions. Hitachi’s sensor design focuses on accurate measurement and consistent performance, using materials selected to match OE-level fit and function. This part is used across a wide range of Volkswagen and Audi applications, including 2017-2022 Volkswagen Passat front right, 2017-2018 Volkswagen Tiguan rear right without Park Assist, and 2015-2016 Audi Q3 front right. It also covers additional fitments such as Volkswagen Jetta, Beetle, Golf, GTI, and Audi A3, A3 Quattro, and TT models. Part number ABS1414 is a practical OE-style replacement when the original sensor is damaged, contaminated, or no longer sending a reliable signal.

What It Is Used For

• ABS warning light caused by a faulty wheel speed sensor
• Erratic or missing wheel speed data at the brake control module
• Loss of ABS-related braking input on the affected wheel
• Intermittent traction control or stability system faults tied to wheel speed readings
• Fitment-specific replacement needs for front right or rear right positions

Installation Notes and Tips

Confirm the vehicle year, make, model, and position before ordering, since ABS1414 is used in both front right and rear right locations depending on application. Some fitments include notes such as without Park Assist, without Harness, or CCS electronic; verify those details against the vehicle build. Inspect the tone ring, wiring, and connector condition during replacement so the new sensor can read wheel speed correctly. For search reference, this part number is ABS1414 and it fits applications such as Volkswagen Passat front right and Audi Q3 front right.

Quality Assurance

Hitachi positions this sensor line for accurate measurement and OE-tolerance fitment, using materials selected for reliable operation in the intended vehicle application. The ABS1414 is built as a direct replacement option for the listed Volkswagen and Audi fitments.
