KYB 551125 Suspension Strut - Front

KYB Gas-a-Just Front Strut for Tundra

The KYB Gas-a-Just 551125 is a front suspension strut built for 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra applications. Its monotube design separates gas and oil for quick response, consistent damping, and reduced fade during demanding driving.

For Toyota Tundra owners who tow, carry loads, or run larger tires and wheels, this KYB Gas-a-Just strut adds damping performance over OE design while maintaining a controlled ride in normal driving.

Key Features

• Adds up to 25% more damping performance over original equipment shocks
• Monotube construction with separate gas and oil chambers for fade-free operation
• High-pressure nitrogen gas helps deliver instant response and improved steering feel
• Triple chrome plated piston rod helps reduce seal wear and fluid leakage risk
• Components and valving are designed specifically for Toyota Tundra front suspension use
• Dust cover included

Product Details

KYB Gas-a-Just line struts are engineered for vehicles that work harder than a standard commuter setup. The 551125 uses an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for control, plus a high-pressure gas chamber with a floating piston to maintain ride comfort and add performance when suspension demand increases. This makes it a practical choice for Toyota Tundra front suspension service where steering response, load control, and consistent damping matter. This part number, 551125, is also cross-referenced to Monroe Shocks & Struts 37298 for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Excessive front-end bounce or oscillation
• Reduced steering response on a Toyota Tundra
• Shock fade during towing or heavier-duty use
• Wear from larger, heavier tires and wheels
• Fluid leakage related to seal wear

Installation Notes and Fitment

Fits 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra, front. Confirm compressed length 18.18 in., extended length 23.54 in., and stroke length 5.36 in. before installation. Upper mount type is S1 (12 mm) and lower mount type is E2 (16x40). This KYB 551125 is a direct-fit front suspension strut for the listed Toyota Tundra applications, and the part number 551125 should be matched to the vehicle’s original mounting and dimensional requirements.

Quality Assurance

KYB designs the Gas-a-Just line with monotube construction and high-pressure gas technology to maintain consistent damping and steering response. The triple chrome plated piston rod and fade-resistant design support long-term suspension performance in demanding Toyota Tundra use.
