Product Details

KYB MonoMax is the truck-focused line within KYB’s suspension lineup, built for drivers who need firmer control and consistent response from a front shock absorber. Part number 565092 uses a monotube design that helps maintain fade-free performance under load, making it a practical choice for lifted Chevrolet K1500, K2500, K3500, Blazer, Tahoe, and GMC K-series or Yukon front suspension setups. The shock measures 13.54 inches compressed, 20.62 inches extended, and provides 7.08 inches of stroke, with E2 lower and upper mounts sized for the listed applications.

This part cross-references Monroe Shocks & Struts (e.g., 172286, 182286) for the same application.

What It Helps Address

• Excessive front-end bounce after bumps or dips
• Reduced control on lifted trucks with 4-6 inches of lift
• Front suspension instability when towing or hauling heavy loads
• Shock fade during repeated off-road or rough-road driving
• Premature wear from dirt, debris, and harsh operating conditions
