Product Details

The NTK ID0300 ignition knock sensor is engineered for vehicles that rely on accurate detonation monitoring to maintain proper engine operation. It is a direct-fit style sensor for many GM platforms, including Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, GMC Sierra 3500 HD, Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, and Chevrolet Corvette applications. If you are replacing a failing knock sensor on a Chevrolet Camaro, GMC Yukon, or Cadillac CTS, this NTK sensor provides the OE-level fit and signal integrity expected from a premium replacement part.

This part cross-references Standard Ignition KS211 and Walker Products 242-1049 for the same application.

What This Sensor Helps Address

• Knock sensor fault codes
• Audible spark knock or pinging under load
• Reduced engine performance from inaccurate detonation feedback
• Check engine light concerns tied to knock sensor circuits
• Driveability issues caused by unstable ignition timing control

Installation Notes and Tips

Verify connector shape, terminal count, and engine application before installation. This sensor uses a female connector, blade terminals, and an oblong connector shape, so matching the harness connection is important for proper fitment. Confirm the vehicle’s exact year and engine configuration, especially on Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Cadillac Escalade applications where multiple sensor styles may exist.

For best results, inspect the wiring connector and mounting surface before installing the new sensor. Clear any stored diagnostic trouble codes after replacement and confirm that the engine control system is reading the new signal correctly.

Quality Assurance

NTK manufactures this sensor to meet or exceed OE specifications. As part of NTK’s technical sensor lineup, the ID0300 is validated through thermal shock, vibration, and OBD verification testing to support consistent performance in real-world service conditions.
